India's opted-in researcher ranking
Every researcher here chose to be listed. Nobody is added for being cited, for having a Chavery profile, or for publishing one — appearing in a ranking is a separate and explicit choice, and a private profile is never ranked.
Positions are computed from the Chavery Score v1.0, whose whole formula is published. It measures citations per work and h-index against years publishing rather than accumulated totals, so an active early-career researcher is not buried under seniority.

What this ranking is not
It is not a list of the best researchers in India. It is a list of researchers who use Chavery and chose to be measured, ordered by one published formula that counts published, indexed outputs and nothing else. It does not measure teaching, supervision, clinical work or peer review, and version 1.0 is not corrected for the different citation rates of different fields.
A researcher whose citation counts Chavery does not hold has no score and is absent from this page — not at the bottom of it.
Ranks below 40 researchers are not published, in any cohort. A position out of a handful describes the list rather than the researcher.
